The Executive Signal

Regulators stop taking AI companies at their word. A White House task force began work on AI incident reporting, a federal regulator demanded documents from two AI labs, and OpenAI disclosed misbehaviour it found months late.

How it connects. Capable AI is spreading, companies are giving AI agents their own accounts, and even the companies that build AI are finding its misbehaviour late. Knowing what your AI did is now your job, not your vendor’s.

This week’s decision

Can you show, for every AI agent with access to your systems, who owns it, how it was tested, how it is monitored and how it would be stopped?

Our recommendation: Have the answer within 30 days. Pause any agent with no named owner.
